The Airport

Steps may be heard around the clock,
Like fleets of sailing ships the planes begin to dock,
Glancing upwards to meet the eyes of many,
We all flow on the current of our destiny,
Our differences attract and captivate the experience,
For we are beauty and our own audience,

New ever changing neighbors speak not of same tongue,
Yet they understand the expense of adventure,
Some radiate light, giving off energy to those surrounding,
A moment unnoticed would be a waste for this venture,
An eternal event as unique as beasts at the watering hole,
All fixated on a personal mission believed to be true and pure,

May we share fragments of stories which exalt the memory,
Before I disappear into the heavens with wings of glory.

Thank you to "His Coy Mistress"

This is a little something that came to mind while I was travelling one day. It was in fact a memory faded and vague that evolved into something new. Yet in order to understand my creation you should understand my inspiration. For that you need look no further than "To His Coy Mistress" by Andrew Marvell who wrote his poem around 1650 (old school style).

Enjoy my version:

Why challenge my fragile heart?

You miraculous creature,
Far too good to be true,
Please dare not tease,
With actions so gentle so sweet,
How you amaze with such ease,
Do not wonder to another to greet,
Leave me not to worry or imbue,
Feelings painted always in blue,

You matter more than the stars,
The night sky clear or sunset bled,
Any healing of old tormenting scars,
No more sleepless nights in bed,

Just make your feelings known,
So my heart can provide your home.

Intense Crush

A girl lies within my thought,
For beauty many have fought,
My last breath I would give,
If my feelings she could believe,

Dark and lonely days until I see,
Magical eyes and smile facing me,
I can bring peace to the world,
No more hunger or suffering told,

With a simple touch from her,
Infused will I be with power,
Yet it is only her love for me,
It is the only thing to set me free.

My little sister

Once upon a time there was a young girl,
Wearing dresses and reading glasses,
As innocent as could be to all,
Time however, always passes
and who can say what is to come.

Having few exemplary examples around,
Idolizing fairy-tales and famous people,
Eager to cry out yet making no sound,
In age comes less restraint upon the vulnerable,

The  Broken  will be free to choose,
Mistakes to be made of awesome nature,
Challenges faced alone to win or loose,
Random shoulders to cry upon like furniture,

No matter my successes or victories,
None can taste truly,sincerely sweet,
For I have left her alone for centuries,
Alone in the darkness, sitting in her seat.

I wonder what has become of her,
Working hard day by day for her career?
Celebrating the return to responsibility?
Or facing the world superficially?

I only wish to mend what was broken,
With the words I have spoken,
My dear little sister who sang with me,
The day before I left her, helplessly.

Cruel Reality

I injured my hand during the first week of last December. I hoped that it would heal naturally since there was no initial pain. It evolved into a larger worry non the less. Now after 3 visits to the doctor I should finally be seeing a specialist. Why is it that doctors never seem to take a person serious unless there is blood pouring down to the ground? Should my arm be hanging from a nerve fiber before action is needed? I clearly mentioned how severe the problem was and how easily it could turn worse. Yet even when I am willing to pay for the attention needed, it is not enough. I am forced to raise my voice, flare my nostrils, allow every wrinkle to stand tall and my face to light up red. Only then I am offered a near option which may lead to a hopeful result. They could not seem to realize what I was feeling...imagine if I had cancer. It may have taken months before anyone would do a proper analysis. So I share my cruel reality with you. However, I am hopeful, and positive today and tonight!

I have dreamed of great feats,
Planned the journey therefore,
Disciplined my desires and needs,
Never asking for anything more,

To only wake in good strength,
Fueled by every breath,
To lift the burdens of others,
Throwing them into the void,
Flying high without feathers,
Having every muscle employed,

Yet it seems rest calls for me,
Weakness overcomes the healthy,
Ambitions watered down by reality,
In mirrors and eyes a new image to see,

An image not of me.

Tonight's Awesome White Winter Party!

This month my work partner and I have planned a Trance/Rave/Dubstep style party in the club where we work. We have been so nervous and curious about how everything would come together. Today around 6pm we received our UV light bulbs to install in the club and the installation went faster than expected. Nice, so we went back home to chill for a while because after all the DJ has the music ready and we only need to open the place at 10pm. We are crossing our fingers, holding thumps and knocking our feet together for this one to be success as the last. Anyways let's hope everyone has a great time and if you read this before hitting the club tonight then I want to wish you a great evening!

Wear white! To see more about what I am talking about, please refer to our page on Facebook!

Here is what your choice was

Believed that I had the world thought out,
Those around me agreed to my constitution,
Living for the future according to the past,
Before a perspective relative to this place,
However, I know they see differently there,
Their past is not mine and their future too,
The methods and strategies for reaching goals,
Far differ from here, where I once was,
Now there is here and nothing is clear,
What must I become to believe,
To change or falter before my being,
If only that person mean't anything anymore,¨
If only I was my past and my present was my future.

Don't know any famous poets?

Take a look at the link I posted. A simple website dedicated to showcasing the most famous/influential poets of all time. Of course Shakespeare is seen as the first and most famous poet of all time. However, the others mentioned have given him a run for his money, check them out for yourself.

Poetry helping you in the world of business?

I recently read an article highlighting the uses of poetry in business context. Clare Morgan is the author and has an extensive professional career background. The book is called "What Poetry Brings to Business". See for yourself, it may even offer support for your working life.

Another new beginning!

A season of rest has passed,
A new cycle has arrived,
Challenges yet unknown,
From truth not derived,
A tongue to learn and utilize,
Every new waking day,
My growth to be seen in size,
With every word I say,
Another conversation had,
Will help to see my way,
I look forward to all the learning ahead,
Every single day!

Tomorrow I am starting to study Finnish in a long term language program!

Find me on the horizon

Granules of sand sift between the toes,
Salt remains once water goes,
The light lathers your beautiful skin,
Your eyes reveal the magic within,
The summer will follow us to the shore,
While winter will fade away once more,
White sands mark our playground,
Listening to the soothing ocean's sound,
Remain forever with me my Goddess,
Allowing my hands to caress,
In this place we belong,
Where all is right and can't be wrong,
Run hand in hand to the water,
Our time together will never grow shorter,
If I am not beside you,
Worry not my companion,
Glance out towards the horizon.

I never meant to...

For every tear drop,
My heart could stop,
Foolish me with distress,
Your will need not test,
There is no good reason,
To be angry this season,
Never should you fear,
Nor worry to tremble,
From my wrong doing here,
My one and only angel,
Forgive my wicked ways,
My weakened virtue.
I shall repent for days,
Doing right by you.

Don't leave me out of your world

The defined hands stretch for yours always,
Longing to grasp firmly to committed pulses,
To feel the rythm of the song within,
For the soothing truth of understanding,
Of your heart's intensions and desires,
Your minds concerns and perceptions,
The reasons and current conditions,
Proving your humanity without wires,
No judgments nor juries to stand,
For I know when I hold your hand,
I am in your world, right here as your man.

Truly Lost

I am merely a man who lays bricks,
For a future layed on sticks,
Intensions lead to hopes with time,
For my hardwork is but nothing,
Not fruitful;nor useful;nor mine,

The lessons learned offer no site,
The effort given no might,
There is only sacrifice in the end,
Once in the begining and present,
Forever there ready to mend,
For all the broken tomorrows that are sent,

I am just blowing in the wind with no destination nor begining.

Faded Past

Dust forms upon dust,
As it grows uncontrollably,
Like forbidden lust,
Yet in the wind it vanishes,
Spread out across invisibility,
Lost between the eye lashes,
Of your abandoned sincerity,

No matter the length of waiting,
Upon a surface or thought,
I shall not be left hating,
For all that was fought,
Here now, now gone,
Were my eyes true?
Was the heart wrong?
Does love go, all the same?
Or was it a memory,
Of just another game?

Life With You

No matter the distance or time apart,
It is my friends and family I keep close to my heart,
You mean the world to me forever and always,
That's the strength you give me to last through these cold days,
I have met people with stories and history so profound,
That I must continue my journey and fully surround,
This world is my playground and our future garden,
For we shall play forever together my angle in heaven

On The Shores Of Saimaa

So rich is the Karelian land,
Full of green and blue,
At the shores I long to stand,
Eager to share beauty with you,
Knowledge too finds a home,
So leave the place where you’ve grown,
Take this chance to discover yourself,
And you will realize true wealth,
For I shall never regret,
All the people I have met,
For I am now so much more,
So much than ever before,
Here on the shores of Saimaa

Caffeine At It's Best

My clock ticks hard as a hammer to the stone,
The ground beneath trembles with each vibration,
From the core of my being power emerges,
Fulfilling needs of plenty for this complexity,
It is the stimulus that turns the clock,
Awakening dormant cognition through coffee.

Once I Saw The Otherside

In admiration of your belief,
I shall vouch for the truth,
Once my soul was free,
And I felt all around me,

However my form was lost,
Without the path to light,
Unprepared to handle the cost,
To weak to even fight,

You believe with all you are,
Although the future lies far,
I know your conviction,
For I was once his restriction,

My sins granted no key,
The gates slamed shut for me,
Yes I believe for I have seen,
For I understand what it all means,

Perhaps he will grant me sanctuary,
If my angel would vouch for me?

The Sweet Truth

A scent to calm me,
Her touch invigorates,
The only one I see,
Conquers all debates,

My beauty so fair,
Waving brown hair,
Expressions so true,
Always appreciate you,

A flower so rare,
Forever safe in my care,
Valerie my sweet heart,
I hope we never part.

The Species We Love

Girls always want everything,
To be close yet give them space,
Demand that you show your love,
Never forget that the game's still on,
They will want you strict but passionate,

It's like a maze of love all around us men
A need to find a way between women
We need to enhance our ways
Then we stand a chance to connect
And all will come clearly to our eyes

Shall love fall upon you,
Like a sign of peace brothers,
Because you deserve it,
For the weight willing to carry.

Never Desire A Dream

Snow continues to decend,
The heavens much to lend,
Peace surrounds in colour,
Yet arrives in raging manner,

I care not for what I see,
Not for the silence around me,
Cold sensations numb emotions,
No jolt for thought of oceans,

The sun's warmth is a dream,
Only your eyes could once stream,
This current state leaves me wanting,
Love's effect left haunting,

Abandoning all expectation,
As I leave desires at the door,
There is no perfect situation,
No we no more

Yet only on my dreams...

Taken By My Angel Of Mercy

Don't forgive me for my sin,
Darkness is where I've always been,
Starring out towards the light,
Searing burn just from the sight,

Redemption can never be the end,
Stand and watch me fall my friend,
I idolize your every step,
Would sacrifice my soul for just a breath ,
Only in those eyes I can remain,
The world will punish me for my shame,

Because of you I can learn,
To feel love I need not burn,
Hold me tight never letting go,
My legs won't hold me anymore,
Dreams expired into dust,
Promise not to let your pity rust,

I stand now ready to face,
My own judgment and disgrace,
I ask you only one thing,
Hold my hand while angels sing,
The scales now search to balance,
All reason and consequence,

I am finally ready to go,
Standing before your holy glow,
Take me far into the blue,
...My dear angel free with you

Hollow beings

How one can lose,
What was never had,
Want more than choose,
Something prominently bad,

Give nothing from the hand,
As time watches closely,
Further raping the land,
Just continuing carelessly,

Fear from pain received,
Blind to freedom taken away,
Hypocritcal beings  are conceived,
And will unfortunately stay,

Without belief or moral,
Automatically materialistic,
Forever remaining synical,
Sacrificing the romantic

Aurora Borealis

Head north my winter queen,
My heart grows cold without you,
I am trapped beneath the glaciers,
Even my words cannot reach you,

Only my pain and emotions are free,
Like water colours splashed upon a screen,
Across the night sky pure and clean,
A shade of green envy,
For couples to together happily,

My anger burns bright red,
A deep blue sadness lingers behind,
Yet there are rays of gold and yellow,
Leading the way for you to follow,

Release me from my prison,
Free me from an icy cell,
Using only your love's spell,
Your king of the north awaits,

Where love shines in the Aurora Borealis.

Those Little Things

Rare features appear united in a single being,
The stars above were given for sight,
A smile as warm and spectacular as an African sunset,
Skin that rivals the purest of silk,

The voice pierces the most distorted of sounds,
Bringning equilibrium among the messages that interfere,
This one listens only to the songs of truth,
Speaking the words that her heart commands,

Considerate and courtious she remains,
Giving her gentle looks that break my stones,
So strong is her will and even more her compassion,
Bringning down the wall of my affection,

Now it's simply hers for the taking...

My Brothers

It seems as though time has soared over my head,
Glancing at images of the past with a look of surprise,
It has been eons since I last heard a word,
Yet no mail box in the world can match my size,

Foolishly believed that I had lost my place in memory,
When all along it was I who lost site of the answers in front of me,
Telling others that those I love the most have left,
That they could no longer see me nor remember my words,
Just another migration to greener pastures like the mighty elephant,

But they never forget the journey ahead,
More than that the companions that endure each passing moment,
For they are a clan formed of eternal bonds,
Never too weak to break or proud to stand alone,

This illusion of distance between us holds no ground to see
Home is where the heart is and that's where you belong with me...

Unjust Desire

A curse has overcome my being,
Found wanting that which cannot be be seen,
Without the freedom of the sense,
Caged like a wild animal behind a fence,

Not having you close enough to touch,
Or even air to capture the scent you left long ago,
No clarity for a mind coming unclean as much,
As your image dissolving along with faded memories,
Just another voice lost for centuries,

My selfish ways shall too be my sacrifice,
For wanting only one that truly satisfies ,
And having to wait for an eternity merely to see her eyes,
I shall stand weathered and full of rust,

Until the moment I earn her trust.

Hope for Continuation

You are a miraculous creature,
You are too good to be true,
Please do not tease with those sweet looks,
Even the gentle things you say with ease,
Without you my feelings will always be blue,

You mean more to me than the stars in the night sky,
And if you were my companion I would never leave your side.

Always Your Knight

Shame had befriended lost self-esteem,
Long before a woman could stand up tall,
We slouch away our dreams when instead could start clean,
I deserve no such joy and compassion from another,

Why bother to believe that someone could fancy,
A mere shell am I washing up against the shore,
The ocean has grown tired of my fantasy,
Yet still somehow he lays his hand upon me,
Holds me as his treasure ever so gently,

If anything were to stir a near he would not rest,
Only once peace and tranquility would return,
With his armor and sword he would strike down my fears,
Always protecting and loving me no matter the test,

I am free to love and safe from lies as long as I have my knight.

My Siren

I set the sails in hope of sailing true,
My task was carved in stone yet born from the heart,
Over vast stretches of a blue void just for you,
I cannot cease the momentum I have built from the start,

This journey may be the end of me,
However no tempest no torrent nor storm could with stand,
There lies a courageous fool upon the high sea,
You are the bright star guiding me to land,

You are the sweet siren corrupting my mind...

Never Too Far From Happiness

(A corny song that I wrote)

A dark sky's filled with stars tonight,
The snow covered land lit up by moon light,
So beautiful it could break up any fight,
I wish I had the chance to hold you tight,

(Chorus)
But once again you're far away,
I can't think clearly night or day,
If only I could hold you and see your face,
Instead I am trapped again in this cold dark place,

I know I can't ask you to wait for me,
You are a gift to the world born to be free,
I just can't help the way you made me feel,
Back on my path now like an ever turning wheel,

(Chorus)
But once again you're far away,
I can't think clearly night or day,
If only I could hold you and see your face,
Instead I am trapped again in this cold dark place,

I just want you to know you're not alone,
Because one day when you call I'll be at your home,
We will cuddle we can play and stay in bed all day,
I would it all for you if you want it that way,

So don't let the distance allow us to stray,
Let's keep the torch up high never letting the flame die,

Parallel Lovers

If two worlds could occupy the same space,
From eye to eye gazing at each face,
Without science interrupting the force of gravity between,
And the pain and suffering banished from these celestial beings,
Then these stars made of all matter that exists,
Side by side for all of eternity on an axis that twists,

It is the invisible path they follow in parallel,
And at no price either could sell,
For magic emanates while life flourishes,
They are the illuminating lights in the darkness,

As long as order remains among them,
The unceasing bonds may never bend,
For they adore each other to the highest respect,
And shall forever witness each other's marvel,

The affect of lovers loving in parallel...

Born for the Wilderness

If nature were to accept me without harm,
The beasts play and walk side by side,
The small peaceful creatures cuddle close to be warm,
And even the silent wanderers would not hide,

I would give up the human race in a blink,
No longer materialistic shall I think,
Lies, war, mistrust have no part,
For nature was born from the heart,

It knows only balance between life and death,
All is fair in reality's despair and joy,
Only the wilderness deserves my last breath,
For with my dreams and emotions it will not toy,

How I long for those night skies filed with stars,
The creatures of the dark playing their simphany of sounds,
Where the only traffic is led by desire for survial,
Where violence is only necessary to maintain honor,

Take me into the wild where I belong.

Love's Bond

My feelings for her will never fade,
Like the light of northern summer,
For each other we were made,
From opposite worlds, each other,
Twin hearts beating the same,
As time and space forever.

This one's for Christmas and New Year's eating marathon.

Each day a new test,
Another good friend to best,
Aromas and flavors arouse,
Competitive natures prepare,

Yet it's the festive season,
And we shall devour plenty,
For we know not reason,
When tables are layered with treats,
With all people rushing to their seats,

Lets us join for the feast,
Let us remember our savior,
Let us be saved for we are beasts,
For we have eaten amounts so major,
However, it may prove too again,
That it is our nature as women and men,

When it comes to the Christmas Feasts.

GETTING IT RIGHT

I tried a few times to make the ideal blog for myself. Moreover, to share a part of my life with each post. I write poems reflecting moments in my life, my journey. I have always had an affinity for writing and this is my way of keeping a promise to myself. I dream to write a book one day containing my poems and stories. I want to show that I am experiencing many different moments, emotions and events as we all do. The difference is that I will tell it to you in a way not common in this time. In the old days every story or memory was shared in rhyme and metaphors. I am bringing it that back and every now and then I will share some (useless) information and facts too.
